Hi all. As Crystal and I head off for our honeymoon I’ve decided to follow the tradition set by Marvel Comics in the 80’s and have Assistant Editor Fortnight.

That’s right, I’ve given Richo and Luke access to the website and permission to post anything they want (but still keeping it family friendly of course).

So I apologize in advance for everything they do 🙂

Yay, we’re married!

Everything went very well (I didn’t trip over or stuff up the vows) and we would like to thank everyone for their well wishes.

As promised, here are a few wedding photos –

This is our cake. I was inspired by a picture I saw on the interweb. Crystal and I are attempting to fight off our Maid of Honor and Best Man, who have unfortunately been turned into ravening Zombies. I’m using a sword and Crystal a cricket bat.

Hi all. Just a quick post to let you know that there won’t be a post tomorrow, as I’ll be too busy getting married.

That’s right, the lovely Crystal was silly enough to say ‘yes’ and is going to make me the happiest nerd in the world tomorrow (Star Wars on blu-ray and marrying my beloved, all in one week!).

For any girl nerds reading this I may post a photo or two later this week. Of course all the boy nerds are like, ‘Who cares man, just tell me if <insert nerd related item here> is any good!’.

So everyone take the time to tell your special man or special lady (but not your lady friend) that you love them tomorrow, because I will be. 🙂

Legendary comic artist Gene Colan has passed away, from complications following a broken hip and liver disease. He was 84.

Colan had nearly 70 years of experience in the comic book industry, and is perhaps best known for his seven-year run on Daredevil (1966 – 1973) and all 70 issues of Marvel’s horror series The Tomb of Dracula in the 1970s. In 1969, Colan and Stan Lee created the Falcon, the first African-American superhero in mainstream comics.

He also worked for DC Comics, including multiple issues of both Batman and Detective Comics.

Despite ailing health, Colan remained active late in his career. In 1997, he returned to Daredevil for an eight issue run and last year he won the Eisner Award for Best Single Issue along with writer Ed Brubaker for Captain America #601, his last published work.

Mr Colan was a 2005 inductee into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame.

Rest in peace Mr Colan.
